Membership Information 2026-2027

Membership is $50 per year which includes:

1. $15 for DRTA membership

2. $35 for Texas Retired Teachers Association (State Dues)

3. The following are eligible for membership upon payment of state dues:

   a.  An annuitant or a beneficiary receiving an annuity from a teacher retirement system.

   b.  Any person interested in public education and willing to work to achieve the objectives of TRTA.

Why You Should Join DRTA and TRTA

• To have a voice in Austin on the issues regarding our retirement benefits and health insurance.

• To be able to attend monthly DRTA meetings to stay informed about issues that affect our future as retired educators.

• To be able to support DRTA programs which include Children's Book Project, DRTA Scholarship Fund.

• To be able to patriciate in fun field trips to places of interest in the greater Dallas area and attend our Fall and Spring holiday luncheons.

• To meet new friends, connect with old friends and colleagues, and more importantly to have fun!

Please encourage your fellow retirees, friends, and colleagues to become members of TRTA as we work to protect your TRS Pension Program and your TRS-Care health insurance program. 

 

Your spouse or someone who is interested in education and desires to promote the interests of TRTA and DRTA may also become an associate member.
