The Children's Book Project is a service function by all local chapters of TRTA. The purpose is to provide new books for children who would have otherwise not a book, emphasizing the importance of reading. These books are distributed to local DISD elementary schools.

 

DRTA collects monthly donations at all general meetings and will accept mail-in donations as well.   Check out our photos in Facebook and in Shutterfly at the links below for our projects. If you would like to participate in these activities, please contact Esther Stoker, Book Project Chair.

The DRTA Book Project Team is ready to deliver to four excited schools this semester 2025. They are William Anderson, L. O. Donald Elementary, Dan D. Rogers Elementary and Medrano E. "Hope" Elementary Schools
